Welcome to our club’s website.

We are open all year round, including during the summer. We meet on Tuesday evenings in the upstairs function room at the Lincolnshire Poacher real ale pub, 161 Mansfield Road, NG1 3FR, 10 minutes walk from Victoria Centre, and a couple of stops by all NCT buses going up Mansfield Road (Stop FO12 ‘Huntingdon St’ coming from town, FO09 ‘Huntingdon St’ going towards town).

Parking is available on Mansfield Road (a parking charge applies until 10pm) and just around the corner on North Sherwood Street (restricted times on some parts of it), and other side streets.

We are located perfectly for any chess players who work or study at Nottingham Trent Uni.

This season we again entered 7 teams in the Nottinghamshire Chess League and 3 teams in the newly formed Summer League (see the League Management System website at https://lms.englishchess.org.uk/lms/organisation/680).

We also run internal club competitions, casual and ECF rated (for example, our Rapidplay Swiss).
