We are well into the season and all of our teams have played at least 4 matches. So far we have used 35 players, at least 15 more than any other club, with more to come.

Star performers are Gambit 2 who currently lead division 1 with 7 points from 5 matches in spite of being out graded by 32 points on average per board, while Gambit 1 are only 3rd with 5 from 5 when out grading their opponents by 118 points. In division 3 our 3rd & 4th teams are 5th & 6th respectively and in division 4 our 5th & 6th teams are 5th (the 5th team has been out graded by 91 points) & 6th. In division 5, Gambit 7 are 5th.

The two most impressive wins are by our 2nd team, who beat our 1st team 3 – 2 when out graded by 134 points on average per board, and by our 3rd team this Monday, winning 3 – 1 at Newark 2 when out graded by 26 points on average per board.

Also worthy of mention are two good draws by Gambit 5 at Central 2 when out graded by 127 points on average per board, and at Nomads 3 when out graded by 70 points on ave.

8 of our members are still unbeaten for their regular teams. Drag has 4 wins for the 2nd team, while Mike N-E has 2 wins and 2 draws. Leo has 4 wins & a draw for Gambit 6 and Tom has 3 wins & a draw for the 5th team. John H has 2 wins & a draw for Gambit 3 and James has 2 draws for the 7th team. For Gambit 1, John S has 5 draws and Steve has 4.
