26 players entered in week one, a record attendance.

In round 1 there were 2 shock results with Marian beating Graeme and Leo beating Mark, while the rest of the higher seeds avoided slip ups. Round 2 saw more shock results as Peter G-M beat Drag and young Albert beat Keith, a man 8 decades older than him. Felipe played well to draw with Florian.

The final round in week 1 saw a clash between two of the favourites with Pete M emerging the winner over Mike N-E. Mike B beat Jan. Florian beat Peter G-M and Drag beat Felipe. Gary got a nice win over Onos.

Going into week two the leaders were Mike B & Pete M on 3, Florian on 2.5 and 9 players on 2. Unfortunately several players were unable to play in week two, including Pete M who had to withdraw at the last moment. Nevertheless this set up a massive clash between Mike B and Florian which went Florian’s way. Drag caused an upset by beating Mike N-E. Another shock was Charlie beating Onos.

In round 5, after a few more shocks with Dave beating John Huthwaite and Nikolai beating Mike N-E, Mike B defeated Peter G-M and hoped for Drag to get a result against Florian but it wasn’t to be and Florian emerged as victor and new club champion.
